Eagles' Sirianni: Mailata out 'a couple weeks'
Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata is out "a couple weeks" with a hamstring injury, head coach Nick Sirianni announced Monday, per The Athletic's Brooks Kubena.
Mailata was carted off the field after getting hurt during Sunday's 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Cornerback Darius Slay, who also left Sunday's game, is reportedly day-to-day with a knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Mekhi Becton and Fred Johnson are among the players who could replace Mailata at left tackle. Becton has started all five of the Eagles' contests at right guard, earning an 83% offensive snap share. Johnson has also appeared in every game, starting one, and played 37% of Philadelphia's offensive snaps.
Mailata has been one of the NFL's most consistent left tackles since 2021. The 27-year-old has played nearly every offensive snap in that time and has earned a 76.5 overall rating or better each year from PFF.
Mailata signed a three-year, $66-million extension with the Eagles in April.
