Dolphins' Achane out of protocol, to play vs. Colts
Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is in line to play Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts after clearing concussion protocol and being removed from the team's Friday injury report.
Achane sustained the ailment in Week 5 against the New England Patriots. He played just 11 snaps in that contest.
The 23-year-old speedster has averaged just 3.3 yards per carry this season after posting a 7.8-yard average as a rookie last year. He's totaled 183 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground, plus 186 receiving yards and a receiving score on 21 receptions.
Achane's rookie campaign was also impacted by injury. He appeared in just 11 games after being drafted in the third round out of Texas A&M but still tallied 997 scrimmage yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Colts' defense ranks 30th in total yardage allowed per game (389.5), 31st against the run (155.2), and 18th in points surrendered per contest (23.2).
