Chargers' Bosa expects to play vs. Saints
Edge rusher Joey Bosa expects to return from a three-game absence when the Los Angeles Chargers meet the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, he told The Athletic's Daniel Popper.
Bosa hasn't played since sustaining a hip injury two defensive snaps into the Chargers' Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ohio State product added he's dealing with a glute strain that impacted his sciatic nerve.
The 29-year-old anticipates being on a snap count. He's listed as questionable for the contest after logging three limited practices this week.
New Orleans has surrendered 16 sacks this season, which is tied for the 11th fewest this year.
Bosa has accrued nine total tackles, including two sacks and two tackles for loss, and has one forced fumble in three appearances this season.
