Commanders' Daniels active vs. Bears
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is active for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears despite battling a rib injury, the team announced.
Sunday's matchup will feature Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick, facing the No. 1 overall pick in Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
The Commanders had listed Daniels as questionable going into Sunday's contest. He was a limited participant in Friday's practice after missing Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions. Daniels said Friday that he felt "good" and wanted to play.
The rookie signal-caller suffered the injury in last week's victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Daniels is having an electric rookie campaign. He leads the NFL in completion percentage with 75.6%. He's also won five of his seven starts for the 5-2 Commanders while accumulating six passing touchdowns and four rushing scores.
