Burrow: Bengals vs. Raiders is 'a must-win game'
Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow believes the Bengals can't afford another defeat when they face the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
"(The urgency is) as high as it can be," Burrow told reporters, including Sports Illustrated's Russ Heltman, on Wednesday. "This is a must-win game. We're 3-5. You go to 3-6, you basically have to win out."
Cincinnati rattled off wins in Weeks 6 and 7 before falling 37-17 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The 2-6 Raiders are riding a four-game losing streak.
"I'm not sure (the urgency) really changes the prep," Burrow said. "We're gonna prep like that every week, no matter what, but it changes how you feel throughout the week. Your energy levels are raised a little bit. ... It's just a mindset."
Burrow has enjoyed a strong statistical season despite the Bengals' losing record. The 27-year-old has completed 70.3% of his passes for 1,993 yards, 15 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Burrow said earlier this week that a 10-win season is still "doable" and should get Cincinnati into the playoffs.
The Bengals host the Raiders before going on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.
