Prescott injures hamstring in loss to Falcons: 'Felt something pull'
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott left Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury.
"I felt something pull. I felt something I've never felt," Prescott said postgame, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Prescott, who was replaced by Cooper Rush, seemingly sustained the injury while attempting a pass late in the third quarter.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he's "concerned" about Prescott's injury.
Prescott was also checked on the sideline and went into the medical tent with an apparent hand injury before being officially ruled out.
Prescott completed 18 of 24 pass attempts for 133 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game. He also carried the ball three times for 30 yards.
The 31-year-old battled a calf injury that cost him five games in 2022 but managed to play all 17 contests for the Cowboys last year en route to finishing second in MVP voting. Prescott led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes in 2023.
Rush was 13-for-25 passing with 115 yards and one touchdown in his relief appearance.
