The Chicago Bears traded running back Khalil Herbert to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick, the Bears announced Tuesday.
Herbert eclipsed 400 rushing yards in each of his first three seasons, including 731 in 2022, but he's been a lesser part of the Bears' offense this year. The 2021 sixth-rounder has only logged 20 scrimmage yards and a 27% offensive snap share in six appearances.
He's also returned one kick for 28 yards this season and played 41% of the team's special teams snaps.
The 26-year-old back provides depth with Zack Moss, Cincinnati's second-leading rusher, out indefinitely due to a neck injury.
