Rodgers, Adams: Jets lacked 'energy' in loss to Cardinals
Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers reflected on his team's 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, saying New York left a lot to be desired.
"It's been a lot of emotions this year, for sure," Rodgers said postgame when asked about his level of frustration, according to SNY. "I thought after a big win Thursday night, nice long week, we were gonna come out with a lot of energy and win the game. We didn't come out with great energy on either side of the ball."
The 3-7 Jets haven't come close to meeting expectations in 2024, but Rodgers and Co. posted an encouraging second half last Thursday to beat the Houston Texans and snap a five-game skid.
However, New York's offense couldn't replicate that success versus the Cardinals and didn't score any TDs. Rodgers completed 22 of 35 pass attempts for only 151 yards while being outplayed by Arizona passer Kyle Murray, who went 22-for-24 with 266 yards and one touchdown. Murray also scored two TDs on the ground.
Star receiver Davante Adams agrees with Rodgers' assessment of N.Y.'s latest performance.
"I don't think we had the energy that we've had the last two weeks," Adams said. "I think that we could definitely be better there."
The Jets play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 before going on a bye.
