Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker won't play Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to ankle and calf injuries, the team announced Saturday.

Walker was originally listed as questionable after missing practice Thursday and Friday. The 24-year-old leads the Seahawks with 542 rushing yards (3.7 per carry) and seven touchdowns on the ground. He's also caught 38 passes for 217 yards and one score.

Walker - a second-round pick in 2022 - topped 1,000 scrimmage yards in each of his first two NFL seasons.

With Walker sidelined, Seattle will likely rely on Zach Charbonnet as its main running back. The team also rosters tailbacks Kenny McIntosh and George Holani, who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.

Sunday's NFC West showdown could have major playoff implications: The 7-5 Seahawks currently lead the division but are only one game ahead of the 6-6 Cardinals. Seattle beat Arizona 16-6 at Lumen Field on Nov. 24.
