Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander is likely out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury that has sidelined him since Week 12, head coach Matt LaFleur announced Wednesday, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Alexander tore his PCL in Week 8 and attempted to return in Week 11 but aggravated the injury and only managed 10 snaps, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. He hasn't played since.

The cornerback underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday and could return in the Super Bowl if the Packers make it that far, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Alexander grabbed two interceptions in seven games this season. He has now played seven contests or less in three of his last four campaigns.
