Report: Bears request interview with Packers OC Stenavich
The Chicago Bears are requesting an interview with Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich for their head coaching job, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
It's the first time in Stenavich's coaching career that he's been asked to meet for a head coaching gig, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Stenavich has been part of Matt LaFleur's staff since he joined Green Bay in 2019. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022 after spending the previous three seasons in charge of the offensive line.
The offense enjoyed its best season under Stenavich in 2024, ranking fifth in yardage and eighth in scoring.
The Bears have targeted numerous candidates for their coaching vacancy, including Ben Johnson, Pete Carroll, and Ron Rivera, among others.
The Packers were eliminated from the postseason Sunday with a 22-10 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
