Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won the 2024 Comeback Player of the Year award Thursday.

Burrow led the NFL in completions (460), attempts (652), passing yards (4,918), and touchdowns (43) in 2024 just a year after missing the season's final seven games due to a wrist injury.

He beat out Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins, New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez, and Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.

The Bengals signal-caller garnered 370 points from voters, per Josh Dubow of The Associated Press. Dobbins picked up the second-most points with 195, and Darnold rounded out the top three with 102.

Burrow was also a finalist for MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. Despite his spectacular season, the Bengals went 9-8 in 2024 and missed the playoffs after struggling defensively for most of the year.

The 2020 No. 1 overall pick was also named Comeback Player of the Year in 2021 after appearing in just 10 games as a rookie before sustaining a torn ACL. In 2021, he led the NFL with a 70.4% completion rate while throwing 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns, which were still his career highs up until this season. That was also the year he led the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance.
