Raiders sign Crosby to reported 3-year, $106.5M extension
The Las Vegas Raiders are signing pass-rusher Maxx Crosby to a multi-year extension, the franchise announced Wednesday.
It's a three-year, $106.5-million deal that includes $91.5 million guaranteed to make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"He fits perfectly and we're so proud to have Maxx be a part of this organization," new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur. "But he knows this is just the start. ... This is a great day for us."
Crosby was limited to 12 games in 2024 but still led the club with 7.5 sacks. He earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl nod with 45 tackles (17 for loss), five pass breakups, and 20 quarterback hits.
The 27-year-old has tallied at least seven sacks in each season since he was picked in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, including a career-best 14.5 takedowns in 2023. He's also led the league in tackles for loss twice with 23 in 2023 and 22 in 2022.
Crosby's 59.5 sacks rank third in Raiders history behind Greg Townsend (107.5) and Howie Long (84). He's tallied 105 tackles for loss and 144 quarterback hits.
