The Denver Broncos are signing former San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga to a three-year contract worth up to $45 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal reportedly includes $20 million guaranteed at signing.

Hufanga spent his first four NFL seasons with the 49ers and earned an All-Pro nod in 2022. He hasn't replicated that success in recent years, as injuries limited him to only 17 appearances over the last two seasons combined.

The 26-year-old - who's stood out as a box safety - was limited to 38 tackles and zero interceptions in seven games in 2024. He enjoyed a career year in 2022 with 97 tackles (five for loss), nine pass breakups, four interceptions, and two sacks.

In Denver, Hufanga will join a standout defensive unit that features arguably the NFL's best secondary with star cornerback and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain II.
