Report: Dolphins signing Zach Wilson
The Miami Dolphins agreed to a one-year, $6-million contract with quarterback Zach Wilson, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The contract is fully guaranteed and could go up to $10 million with incentives, Schefter adds.
Wilson didn't see the field during the 2024 season as a backup with the Denver Broncos. The 25-year-old started his career with the New York Jets after the franchise selected him second overall in 2021 out of BYU. New York traded Wilson and a seventh-round pick to Denver last offseason for a sixth-rounder.
Tua Tagovailoa was the only quarterback under contract with the Dolphins before the reported signing of Wilson. Tagovailoa has started all 17 games in a season just once in his career and missed six contests in 2024.
Wilson holds a career 12-21 record as a starter with 6,293 passing yards and 23 touchdowns against 25 interceptions.
