The Philadelphia Eagles are trading safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Houston Texans for offensive lineman Kenyon Green and a 2026 fifth-round selection, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report.

The Eagles will lose $2.6 million in cap space, while the Texans will lose $855,000, according to Spotrac.

Gardner-Johnson recorded six interceptions during the Eagles' Super Bowl-winning campaign after reuniting with the team. He spent the 2022 season with Philly but played for the Detroit Lions in 2023 before helping the Eagles hoist the Lombardi Trophy last season.

The 27-year-old tallied 59 total tackles, 12 deflections, one forced fumble, and a pick-6 in 2024. Gardner-Johnson has 304 total tackles, 18 interceptions, and 51 deflections in 74 career games.

Gardner-Johnson is under contract through 2026. He's owed $8.5 million next season ($2 million guaranteed) and $10.5 million in 2026, per Spotrac.

Green was a first-round selection in 2022 and has started 23 of his 27 appearances. The 23-year-old is entering the final season of his rookie deal.

Green struggled during the 2024 campaign before Houston benched him near the end of October. The Texas A&M product played sparingly from Week 9 through the end of the campaign. Green finished the season ranked 131st of 135 guards in overall grade, 107th in pass-blocking, and 131st in run-blocking, per PFF.
