Report: Chargers hosting Evan Engram on visit
Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram is visiting the Los Angeles Chargers, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Engram also visited with the Denver Broncos, per Pelissero.
The 30-year-old was released last week after three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Engram finished second on the team with 47 catches to go along with 365 yards and one touchdown in 2024. He's two years removed from a 2023 campaign in which he recorded career highs with 114 receptions for 963 yards.
Will Dissly led the Chargers' tight end group with 50 catches for 481 yards and two scores last season. Backup Stone Smartt is a restricted free agent.
Engram would be another reliable passing target for quarterback Justin Herbert if he joins L.A. next season. The Chargers have been proactive in improving their offense this offseason, signing running back Najee Harris.
The 2017 first-round pick is seeking his third team after spending the first five years of his career with the New York Giants. He spent the past three seasons with the Jaguars after signing as a free agent in 2022.
