The New England Patriots' top cornerback, Christian Gonzalez, is expected to miss time after injuring his hamstring in practice Monday, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
However, the injury should not impact Gonzalez's availability for Week 1, Schultz adds.
Gonzalez couldn't finish Monday's practice and didn't practice Tuesday, according to Keagan Stiefel of NESN.
The 23-year-old was named a second-team All-Pro last season after recording two interceptions and 11 passes defended in 16 starts. He also returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
The Patriots drafted him 17th overall in 2023.
