The Minnesota Vikings have worked out a trade with the Carolina Panthers to reunite with wide receiver Adam Thielen, the teams announced Wednesday.

The Panthers will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-rounder, while the Vikings get Thielen, a conditional 2026 seventh-round selection, and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

The Vikings and the 35-year-old receiver are also finalizing a revised contract, which will mark the completion of the trade, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Minnesota reportedly inquired about trading for the veteran wideout earlier this week. He'll boost a Vikings receiving room that will be without Jordan Addison for the first three games of the season due to a suspension.

Thielen's first 10 years in NFL came with the Vikings after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He played a prominent role in their passing offense, with his 1,276-yard campaign in 2017 and 1,373-yard season in 2018 earning him trips to the Pro Bowl. He totaled 6,682 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns during his first stint with Minnesota.

The veteran hauled in 103 passes for 1,014 yards in his first year with the Panthers in 2023. His numbers reduced to 48 catches for 615 yards across only 10 games during his second season with the team.
