Report: Commanders believe Ekeler tore Achilles
Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles in Thursday night's loss to the Green Bay Packers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ekeler is slated to undergo testing Friday to confirm the injury, Schefter adds.
The veteran sustained the noncontact injury during the fourth quarter of the 27-18 loss. He was carted to the locker room and quickly ruled out with an Achilles injury.

The 30-year-old led the team in carries Thursday with eight. He produced only 17 rushing yards on those attempts.
Ekeler joined the Commanders last year and totaled 733 yards from scrimmage. He also posted four touchdowns.
If the veteran is sidelined long term, Washington would likely rely more heavily on Jacory Croskey-Merritt. A seventh-round rookie, Croskey-Merritt emerged as a preseason standout. He rushed for 17 yards on four carries against the Packers.
