Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was diagnosed with a sprained knee, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn announced Monday that Daniels is day-to-day, according to Garafolo. His availability for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders is uncertain.

The 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year underwent an MRI after Thursday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Daniels played Washington's first two games this season, completing 59.7% of his passes for 433 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 139 yards while helping the Commanders start the campaign with a 1-1 record.

If Daniels is unavailable, Washington will presumably turn to backup Marcus Mariota under center. The 31-year-old has 74 NFL starts under his belt. The Commanders also roster journeyman quarterback Josh Johnson.
