San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will start Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday.
Purdy missed two starts due to turf toe but has no injury designation ahead of the meeting with Jacksonville. The 25-year-old, who got hurt during San Francisco's Week 1 win, was a full participant at practice Friday.
Mac Jones replaced Purdy over the past two weeks and helped the Niners improve to 3-0 to start the season. Jones is dealing with a knee injury and was listed as questionable Friday. Adrian Martinez would presumably serve as Purdy's backup if Jones is unavailable.
Receivers Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) are also questionable for Sunday's contest.
