Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving is considered week-to-week with a foot sprain, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Irving was using crutches and wearing a boot on his left foot Wednesday, Schefter adds.

Irving's status for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks is "very much in doubt," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told media Wednesday that if the running back is still wearing a walking boot Friday, he probably won't play, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Irving has been the Bucs' top skill-position player this season, with his 430 yards from scrimmage leading the team. He's put up 237 yards on the ground while contributing a team-high 19 receptions for 193 yards and two scores through the air.

If Irving can't go, Rachaad White would be expected to start in Tampa Bay's backfield.

The Buccaneers lead the NFC South with a 3-1 record.
