Ravens expect Lamar to return after Week 7 bye
The Baltimore Ravens believe injured quarterback Lamar Jackson will return to action after their bye next week, head coach John Harbaugh announced.
"That's the hope," Harbaugh said Sunday, according to Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner.
Jackson sustained a hamstring injury Sept. 28 and has missed two games, including Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams that dropped the Ravens to 1-5 this season. Baltimore hosts the Chicago Bears on Oct. 26 following its Week 7 bye.
Cooper Rush has struggled while replacing Jackson. Baltimore also played quarterback Tyler Huntley in the second half versus the Rams. Rush and Huntley combined to complete 21 of 34 passes for 117 yards and no touchdowns against one interception in the latest outing.
Many fans at M&T Bank Stadium expressed their frustration with Baltimore's performance and left the stadium early.
"We know it's rough right now. They want to see a good product," running back Derrick Henry said postgame.
Jackson is one of multiple key Ravens starters battling injuries this year. Harbaugh said he also expects linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) to return against the Bears, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.
