Cardinals move on from coach Gannon after 3 seasons
The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Jonathan Gannon, the team announced Monday.
Gannon leaves Arizona with a 15-36 record across three seasons. General manager Monti Ossenfort, who also joined the team in 2023, will remain with the organization.
The Cardinals won only four games during their first year under Gannon's watch in 2023 before overachieving with an 8-9 record in '24.
However, Arizona couldn't continue that progress during the 2025 season. The Cardinals won their first two games but lost 14 of their final 15 contests, including nine straight to close the campaign.
Gannon, a former defensive coordinator, could generate interest as an assistant this coaching cycle.
The Cardinals enter the 2026 offseason facing major questions, with Kyler Murray's future looming large over the franchise. Arizona could move on from its starting quarterback, who's under contract through 2029.
