Bills' Allen played through broken bone in foot
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen revealed he played through a broken bone in his foot over the last month of the season.
Allen, who arrived to Joe Brady's introductory press conference Thursday on crutches and in a boot, said it was an older injury that was aggravated during the team's Week 16 victory over the Cleveland Browns, according to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic.
"Not an ideal situation, painful throughout the weeks." Allen said of the injury to his fifth metatarsal.

The 29-year-old passer, who played four games after the injury, said he didn't think it would keep him off the field if the Bills were still in the postseason right now.
"I'm not even lying, if we had to play a game this week, I would figure it out," Allen told media, including Andrew Siciliano.
Allen had surgery on his foot Monday, according to general manager Brandon Beane. His recovery timeline is 8-to-10 weeks, which should keep Allen on track for the team's offseason program, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The Bills entered a new chapter of their franchise history following a divisional round loss to the Denver Broncos with Brady replacing Sean McDermott as head coach after the latter was fired. Allen, who was responsible for four turnovers in the divisional-round defeat, expressed guilt over McDermott's dismissal, saying he felt he had a part in it.
"If I make one more play (in) that game in Denver, we're probably not having this press conference right now," Allen remarked, according to Jeremy Bergman of Around the NFL. "We're probably not making a change. In all honesty, we're probably getting ready to play another game."
Allen will start his ninth NFL season later this year, and while he's been able to accumulate four Pro Bowls and a league MVP, he's yet to make a Super Bowl appearance.
