Walker will ink a three-year deal worth up to $45 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The contract, which includes a base of $14.35 million per year, also has $28.7 million fully guaranteed.
Walker spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, topping 1,000 rushing yards twice. He most recently helped the team lift the Lombardi Trophy with one of the best performances by a running back in recent Super Bowl history.
Walker ran for 135 yards on 27 carries while adding 26 receiving yards in a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
Injuries have been an issue for Walker since he entered the NFL as a second-round pick in 2022. The 25-year-old played a full season for the first time in 2025, rushing for 1,027 yards (4.6 per carry) and five touchdowns. He also caught 31 passes for 282 yards.
The Chiefs, who missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era last season, have been linked to multiple running backs this offseason. Kansas City also owns the ninth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
