The Los Angeles Rams enter the season as Super Bowl favorites thanks to their loaded roster, and many on the team are aware of the giant target on their backs because of it.
"You know all these other teams probably hate us," defensive back Quentin Lake said, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. "They think we're like the new Dodgers or something like that."
The Rams had an offseason to remember, trading for reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett and former All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie, luring 10-time Pro Bowler Aaron Donald out of retirement, and signing cornerback Jaylen Watson in free agency. In addition to the defensive reinforcements, the team boasts offensive cornerstones such as reigning MVP Matthew Stafford and star wideouts Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers, winners of the last two World Series, have built a reputation for consistently bolstering their roster with high-end talent.
The Rams fell one game short of reaching the Super Bowl last year, falling to the eventual champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC title game. Los Angeles last hoisted the Lombardi Trophy in the 2021 campaign.
The Rams begin their 2026 season Sept. 10 against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia.
