Hernandez associate Ortiz pleads not guilty to murder of Odin Lloyd
Carlos Ortiz, an associate of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, pleaded not guilty Tuesday on a charge of first-degree murder for the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in June of last year, per ESPN. Ortiz was denied bail and will await a pre-trial conference Sept. 24.
Both Hernandez and Ernest Wallace have already plead not guilty to the execution-style killing of Lloyd. The body of Lloyd, a semi-professional football player, was found near Hernandez's home in North Attleboro last year.
Hernandez, who plead not guilty to Lloyd's murder in September, has been held without bail at Bristol County Jail since his arrest in late June. He is scheduled to be arraigned for two separate counts of first-degree murder Wednesday in Boston stemming for a double shooting in July of 2012.
