Here's what you need to know:
- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady improved to 6-0 in his career against the Chargers' pivot Philip Rivers, completing 28-of-44 passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
- Noted football magnet Rob Gronkowski caught eight passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Gronk became the first tight end in NFL history with four seasons with at least 10 receiving touchdowns.
- Wide receiver Julian Edelman, who was questionable with a thigh injury heading into Sunday's game, hauled in eight passes for 141 yards and a touchdown. His 69-yard catch and scamper in the fourth quarter was the longest touchdown of his career.
- Rivers completed 20-of-33 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
- Malcom Floyd led all Chargers receivers with 54 yards and a touchdown.
- With the victory, the Patriots recorded their 12th straight 10-win season. It is the second-longest streak since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
