Report: NFL focusing on locker room attendant in Patriots investigation
The NFL is zeroing in on a New England Patriots locker room attendant in its investigation of the team for allegedly underinflating footballs in last week's AFC Championship Game, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer.
The attendant in question is said to have taken the footballs from the officials' locker room to another area before delivering them to the field for the game. There is a surveillance video documenting the incident, per Glazer's report.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting the video shows the attendant taking the footballs into a bathroom for 90 seconds.
He's already been interviewed as part of the league's investigation and is considered a strong person of interest, Glazer reports.
Despite this new information, the league stated on Monday that the investigation is expected to take several more weeks.
