Report: Browns interviewing Kevin O'Connell for QBs coach
The Cleveland Browns are reportedly interviewing Kevin O'Connell for their quarterbacks coaching job Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
O'Connell spent time with five different teams over the course of his six-year NFL career, including three seasons with the New York Jets in which Browns head coach Mike Pettine was the team's defensive coordinator.
The former quarterback has not yet made the transition to an NFL coaching staff, but he spent time working with Johnny Manziel leading up to the 2014 draft.
Though there have been some questions surrounding Manziel's future with the Browns after a disappointing rookie season, bringing in O'Connell as the quarterbacks coach would likely indicate that the team is still giving him every opportunity to turn things around.
