Patriots' Akeem Ayers active for Super Bowl vs. Seahawks

New England Patriots linebacker Akeem Ayers is officially active for Sunday's Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.

Ayers was added to the injury report late in the week due to a knee injury suffered in practice, but there was never much doubt that he'd be able to play after receiving a probable designation.

The 25-year-old has been a productive pass rusher for the Patriots' defense since being acquired in a midseason trade from the Tennessee Titans.
