Team Needs: AFC West
The AFC West has been one of the NFL's most competitive divisions of late, but each team will have some work to do as the 2015 offseason gets underway.
The Denver Broncos will be looking to add players that can help them to a fifth consecutive division title, while the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers will attempt to bolster their rosters with an eye on that top spot. The Oakland Raiders may still be a year or two away from contention, but an unbelievable amount of salary-cap space to work with should make for an exciting few weeks in Oakland.
Here's a look at some players the AFC West teams could be targeting when free agency officially begins March 10.

Denver Broncos
Positions of need: Tight end, offensive line, defensive tackle
With Julius Thomas set to hit the open market and appearing unlikely to return, the Broncos will need to fill his spot at tight end. Though the offense is already strong at wide receiver and Peyton Manning has made a long career of elevating the play of those around him, adding a player who can attack the middle of the field will be key to the unit's success.
Whether it's at tackle, guard or center, the offensive line represents another pressing need for the Broncos heading into the offseason. If Denver is to make another Super Bowl run in what could be its star quarterback's last season, it starts with better protecting him in the pocket.
Potential free-agent targets: Jordan Cameron is arguably the top tight end available in free agency this year and would be a solid addition to replace Thomas. Having shown flashes of incredible playmaking ability downfield, he'd thrive as part of the Broncos' high-powered passing attack.

In addressing the interior offensive front, the Broncos could very well opt to look within the division at either Chiefs center Rodney Hudson or Raiders center Stefen Wisniewski. Both would make for key upgrades at the position and are the kind of young players worth making an investment in long term.
Kansas City Chiefs
Positions of need: Wide receiver, offensive line, safety
After a year in which the Chiefs' wide receivers were unable to manage a single touchdown, it goes without saying that adding to the position is among the team's most pressing needs going forward.
Offensive line will also be a priority, however, as center Rodney Hudson is testing free agency and the overall state of the tackle position would indicate that additions can be made at several different spots up front.
Potential free-agent targets: It'd take some crafty work with the salary cap, but the Chiefs pursuing Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, who Andy Reid coached in Philadelphia, just makes too much sense. If Maclin isn't a realistic option, Michael Crabtree and Torrey Smith could be intriguing possibilities as well.

In need of both tackles and interior linemen to upgrade the offensive front, the Chiefs would be wise to target versatile veterans that could play either position like Todd Herremans and Orlando Franklin.
San Diego Chargers
Positions of need: Offensive line, edge rusher, wide receiver, running back
Similar to the roster needs of some other teams in this division, addressing the offensive line is a must for the Chargers heading into the offseason. Philip Rivers put the team on his back and nearly led the Chargers to the playoffs in 2014, but they have to do a better job of protecting him going forward.
Adding an edge rusher will be a priority following the retirement of Jarret Johnson, as well as potential upgrades to be made at the skill positions on the offensive side of the ball.
Potential free-agent targets: The Chargers have money to spend, so they could conceivably be in the mix for some of the top available offensive linemen. Whether that's Bryan Bulaga or Mike Iupati, or even both, each would provide a significant and much-needed upgrade on the offensive front.

A breakout star that flashed dominance both against the run and in pressuring opposing quarterbacks, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Pernell McPhee should be a top target at edge rusher. His versatility played a key role in Baltimore fielding one of the NFL's best defensive fronts this past season.
Oakland Raiders
Positions of need: Wide receiver, edge rusher, defensive tackle, inside linebacker
The Raiders need to add talent from top to bottom and with as much money to spend as any other team, they should be among the busiest in free agency.
Adding a wide receiver for young quarterback Derek Carr to work with is arguably the most important of them all, while addressing glaring needs on the defensive front at edge rusher, defensive tackle and inside linebacker will be imperative as well.
Potential free-agent targets: With Randall Cobb now having re-signed with the Packers, the Raiders should be targeting Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. Though many teams will be doing the same, it would be no surprise to see Oakland more than willing to outbid other offers on the table.

On the defensive side of the ball, players like Brian Orakpo and Brandon Graham would fit the team quite well at defensive end. Of course, with so much money to spend, the Raiders could also emerge as a legitimate suitor for this year's top available free agent, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
