The Detroit Lions won't be using the franchise tag on Ndamukong Suh, which means the team must now prepare for the possibility of losing the defensive tackle in free agency.
Among the players receiving a look from the Lions is defensive tackle Kendall Langford, who is slated to visit Detroit on Monday, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Langford spent the past three seasons with the St. Louis Rams, starting 36 games and recording eight sacks. He was set to make $6 million in 2015 as part of the four-year contract he signed with the Rams in 2012.
The 29-year-old was a four-year starter for the Miami Dolphins before joining the Rams and has experience as both a 3-4 defensive end and a 4-3 defensive tackle.
