Titans' Kamerion Wimbley announces retirement

Tennessee Titans linebacker Kamerion Wimbley announced his retirement from professional football Thursday.

"I'd like to thank the National Football League for giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love," Wimbley said in a statement posted to Twitter

Wimbley, the 13th overall pick in 2006, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cleveland Browns before moving on to the Oakland Raiders for two seasons and the Titans for three.

Wimbley finishes his career with 53.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles and two interceptions.
