The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded longtime kicker Josh Scobee to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
The move fills a glaring roster need for the Steelers ahead of Week 1, as preseason injuries to both Shaun Suisham and Garrett Hartley left the club without a kicker on the active roster.
Scobee appeared in all but six regular-season games over his first 11 seasons with the Jaguars, converting on 80.8 percent of his field-goal attempts over that span.
Jason Myers will now step into the lead place-kicker role for the Jaguars after hitting 4-of-5 attempts through the first three preseason games of the year.
