VIDEO: Brandon Marshall's attempted lateral goes horribly wrong

Brandon Marshall may have been trying to do a little bit too much when the New York Jets found themselves down 17-0 to start Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
After hauling in a pass and turning up field late in the second quarter, Marshall attempted to flip the ball to a teammate before going to the ground.
With Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin closing on the play, his improvisation didn't exactly pay off.
Marshall's elbow appeared to be down before he let go of the ball, which would have negated the turnover, but the play stood upon an official's review.

The Eagles went on to add another touchdown on the ensuing drive, taking a commanding 23-0 lead before halftime.
