There won't be any shortage of NFL organizations interested in Sean Payton should the New Orleans Saints opt for a change in leadership after another down year.
The Miami Dolphins, who fired head coach Joe Philbin this week following a 1-3 start, are among multiple teams expected to inquire about Payton during the offseason, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Whether the Saints make Payton available will depend on the club's performance over the final 12 weeks of the season, but the early interest in his services is no surprise.
Payton now holds an 81-51 career head-coaching record over the eight-plus seasons he's spent with the Saints, leading the club to five playoff appearances and one Super Bowl title over that span.
