Falcons sign veteran kicker Shayne Graham
The Atlanta Falcons have signed free-agent kicker Shayne Graham while Matt Bryant works through a quad injury.
It's unclear whether Bryant is expected to miss any sort of significant time down the stretch, but adding Graham indicates that the Falcons will require his services at least for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Graham has spent time with a number of different teams over the course of his 15-year career, including a seven-season stint with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2003-09.
The 37-year-old is no stranger to the NFC South, as he spent all of last season with the New Orleans Saints after joining the team late in 2013.
Having converted on an impressive 85.5 percent of his field-goal attempts to this point, Graham is currently ranks as the 10th-most accurate kicker in NFL history.
Linebacker Joplo Bartu was waived to make room for Graham.
