Jeff Fisher: Critics of Rams' effort can 'kiss my ass'
A fourth consecutive loss has the St. Louis Rams' on the brink of playoff elimination, but Jeff Fisher isn't about to stand for questions about his team's effort level.
Unhappy with such assertions during a press conference that followed a 31-7 defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals, the Rams head coach told reporters that anyone who implies the Rams have an effort problem can "kiss my ass."
Having started the season 4-3, seemingly in position to qualify for the postseason for the first time since 2004, the Rams were among the league's most intriguing teams to follow over the first half of the year.
With his team now rapidly trending in the wrong direction, and Fisher now holding an overall record of 24-34-1 through 59 games in St. Louis, there's bound to be some uncertainty about his job status down the stretch.
