Texans' Savage intends to win starting QB job in 2016
Tom Savage has his sights set on a starting quarterback role in 2016.
The 2014 fourth-round pick told reporters Sunday that he's entering the upcoming offseason intending to win the Houston Texans' starting job regardless of who the club adds at the position.

After appearing in just two games as a rookie, a sprained shoulder forced Savage to spend the entire 2015 campaign on injured reserve.
While the lack of exposure still makes him somewhat of an unknown commodity, the Texans certainly appear set to hold another open quarterback competition next summer.
Brian Hoyer struggled throughout the Texans' shutout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Saturday's wild-card matchup, completing just 15-of-34 passes for 136 yards and four interceptions.
