The Oakland Raiders have signed punter Marquette King to a contract extension, the team announced Monday.
Official terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but King is receiving a five-year extension worth $16.5 million and including $7.75 million in guarantees, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
King, an undrafted free-agent signing out of Fort Valley State in 2012, has been the Raiders' punter for each of the last three seasons after the departure of Shane Lechler.
Though he's always had a powerful leg, the 2015 season was easily his best to date in terms of accuracy.
King finished the year second to only Johnny Hekker with 40 punts downed inside the 20-yard line, and he tied for ninth with a net average of 40.7 yards per kick.
