Raiders, Holmes agree to 1-year deal reportedly worth up to $3M
The Oakland Raiders re-signed wide receiver Andre Holmes on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not released, but Holmes signed a one-year contract worth up to $3 million, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Holmes received interest from a number of teams upon hitting the free-agent market last week, but the Raiders were always thought to be in pursuit of a new deal.
The 27-year-old will continue in his role as both a reserve wideout and core special-teams contributor in Oakland for at least one more season.
Holmes first landed with Oakland in 2013, and it wasn't long before he emerged as an occasional big-play threat, with the size to make an impact in the red zone.
His most productive year came in 2014, when he started 13 of 16 regular-season games, while hauling in 47 receptions for 693 yards and four touchdowns.
