David Wilson hints at NFL comeback

Evan Habeeb / USA TODAY Sports

Former New York Giants running back David Wilson's NFL career was exciting, but short-lived.

The 24-year-old speedster suffered from fumbling issues, but was ultimately forced to end his football career early due to a neck injury after two seasons. He's recently been competing in track and field and made an appearance at the Adidas Grand Prix in June as a triple jumper.

Now that Wilson has recovered from his neck injury and is competing on a regular basis, he's feeling like a comeback may be in the making.

There's been no word of Wilson recovering from his neck issues to alleviate previous concerns, but he's still a very young man with exceptional speed and talent.

Wilson had 504 rushing yards on 115 attempts and five touchdowns in his career after being drafted 32nd overall in 2012.
