Sens re-sign Claesson to 1-year extension

The Ottawa Senators announced a one-year, one-way contract extension for defenseman Fredrik Claesson on Monday.
The 24-year-old will earn $650,000 next season.
Claesson has five assists in 19 games this season for Guy Boucher's squad. He was drafted in the fifth round, 126th overall, in 2011, and has seven career assists in 35 NHL games.
The Stockholm, Sweden native spent the majority of four seasons in the AHL with the Binghamton Senators, accumulating 13 goals and 57 assists in 285 games.
