The hit occurred in the second period, and Kucherov missed the remainder of the contest. His injury isn't a concussion, head coach Jon Cooper confirmed to Smith.
Kucherov, the reigning NHL MVP, has posted 18 points in 18 games this year.
The Lightning lost 3-1 to the defending champions, falling to 9-7-2 on the season.
