Kuznetsov, Samsonov return for Capitals in Game 3

Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov and goaltender Ilya Samsonov are in the lineup for Game 3 against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night.

Kuznetsov and Samsonov were removed from the COVID-19 list Monday and haven't played since May 1.

Lars Eller is out due to a lower-body injury.

Veteran Craig Anderson, who started Game 2 and relieved the injured Vitek Vanecek in Game 1, isn't dressed due to body maintenance.

Kuznetsov had a down year by his standards, registering nine goals and 20 assists in 41 games.

Samsonov, who had multiple stints on the COVID-19 list this season, went 13-4-1 with a .902 save percentage and a 2.69 goals-against average in 19 appearances.
