Caufield avoids injury after exiting vs. Flames; Monahan, Savard out 2-3 weeks
Montreal Canadiens star forward Cole Caufield is expected to be available for Wednesday's clash with the Ottawa Senators after leaving Monday's game due to an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Caufield was shaken up after a hard collision with Calgary Flames forward Trevor Lewis and was unable to return.

The referees didn't assess a penalty on the play.
Caufield has scored 16 goals and 25 points through 27 games this season. He leads Montreal in goals and ranks second in points behind Nick Suzuki.
While Caufield dodged his injury scare, the Canadiens were still hit hard by the injury bug. Forward Sean Monahan (lower body) and defenseman David Savard (upper body) are set to be sidelined for two-to-three weeks.
