Tortorella suspended 2 games for outburst toward ref
Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella has been suspended two games for unprofessional conduct toward officials, the NHL announced Sunday.
He also received a hefty $50,000 fine.
Tortorella was ejected by referee Wes McCauley on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning and continued to argue after being thrown out of the game. He eventually did leave the bench.

The Flyers were down 4-0 10 minutes into the first period at the time of the ejection in a game they eventually lost 7-0.
Tortorella appeared to be upset over the 10-minute misconduct Philadelphia forward Garnet Hathaway was handed moments earlier for shoving Lightning center Anthony Cirelli after the whistle.
